Porcelain

Porcelain is an environmentally friendly, durable, light weight and versatile option for use in kitchen benchtops with more heat resistance than engineered stone.

However, due to the nature of porcelain and it’s characteristics, the fabrication process is more complex. Porcelain is a fairly new material in this industry and most factories are currently unable to fabricate to a certain standard due to lack of resources and equipment.

Here at Solidtops we have a water cutter which is the recommended method of cutting porcelain and we have spent countless amount of hours testing and trialing with many different porcelain slabs and so we are confident in our abilities to fabricate and install for you an amazing new set of porcelain kitchen benchtops.

Natural Stone

Natural Granite is a natural stone which is very hard, durable and has heat resistant properties. Marble is a natural stone which does not share the same characteristics as granite as marble is significantly softer and therefore requires more care and maintenance, however, a set of marble benchtops done right looks absolutely stunning.
